But . . . there are a lot of great clothing designers in SL who are struggling to make a tidy profit. I think buying your package would help me cut corners in my learning process but I don't think it would necessarily help me sell more clothes or clothing at a higher price. So, as much as I would love this package, if you make it, I wouldn't be prepared to pay more than 5,000 L$. I can understand the amount of work you would have to put into it, and obviously you want that hard work rewarded, but making a profit from clothing in SL is something that only a few of the top designers aspire to, and I don't imagine that buying this package would put me in that league. To me, making SL clothing is a labour of love, it's not a lucrative business.Hope Coakeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18073987144875911916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-559244626136952170.post-71629890613832068492009-08-11T17:50:05.074+00:002009-08-11T17:50:05.074+00:00Great items!! Although that seems to cut into your sleep time quite a bit (I don't think I could get by with that little!) it would be so nice to have that much time to work. SL is ostensibly my RL "job" and I still don't find any block of time where I can sit down and concentrate, and I think my work suffers. If I manage to break down and work for a big block, invariably something important doesn't get done. For example, the other day I spent half the day making a hair and the next several hours recoloring it, making the display, etc. By that time the husband was home and doing his little "hang around trying not to look in the way but really wanting dinner like, now, or preferably an hour ago" routine, the dishes weren't done, the pets were eyeing me for food, the laundry wasn't done, essentially, the house went to crap for that day. And getting anything done while my husband is home is right out the window. I can't work when he is around, whether he's actively bugging me or not. :P You know how it is!Maegen Parvenuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13429723437565326411noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-559244626136952170.post-49077463117917555052009-04-08T23:03:00.000+00:002009-04-08T23:03:00.000+00:00This sounds familiar.... are you stalking me??? And while I would hunt down the person who uploaded, education since has given me the realization that well, all I would have to do is download a texture and upload it to have my name attached. I am to the point now where when I am given textures when I ask, 'I have full rights to use this and you have full rights to give it to me for that use?' I cant do anything other then that and educate the one passing me the textures.

Education will be the key... and you gotta get them when they are young in getting them to understand how its theft, but in a society where downloading a song for free is instant gratification over waiting for the store to open or have the funds to pay for it, well, I dont hold much hope.

I dont defend BIB's but without them I would understand a whole hell of a lot less then I do now.

And to those that just pass textures over to someone else, make sure its legal for you to do so, I would hate to be pissed at you for sending me a texture and end up with long hours invested in creating something based on those STOLEN textures.

Ok, I think my rant is done... I do have a question... how could someone with a BIB know who the original creator of that content is, and once one person has broken the TOS for the purchase, all it takes is second inventory or having downloaded it to make it more prolific.

Be Excellant to each other.

Godric KhargGodrichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08485722776388706537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-559244626136952170.post-64611107763023800222009-01-26T21:09:00.000+00:002009-01-26T21:09:00.000+00:00I use subscriber kiosk, love it, thanks Laynie :DH...I use subscriber kiosk, love it, thanks Laynie :D
Hart has some nice addons for it which I LOVE LOVE (thanks Hart).

I used subscribo-matic too... and I won't go back- subscribo is faster in sending objects though- to me.Kesseret Steeplechasehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03804223415503125099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-559244626136952170.post-9661057905817933462009-01-26T19:43:00.000+00:002009-01-26T19:43:00.000+00:004 posts a week is not too many. I have a large business in SL (actually several) and one of the largest subscribe o matic groups there are (almost 8000 members) and I have made it a practice and vowed to them that I will never spam them. To me that means one notice a week. If I HAVE to send another notice it will be some sort of important information regarding an error or a message to my store affiliate vendors. The only issue I've ever had was someone didnt realise they had clicked the subscribe o matic kiosk and didnt even know what it was and had me banned from a sim for spamming (even though the message only came to her, she didnt understand she subscribed) Other than that, by sticking to one notice per week, my group has done nothing but grow constantly and at an amazing rate. Most people dont seem to have trouble coming in to click it again if they want to unsubscribe but that is rare.

I whole heartedly recommend subscriber systems. They helped me reach 100 times as many people as I would have with an in world group.

Ivey Deschanel (Sn@tch)Ivey Deschanelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02879073905040060653noreply@blogger.com
