Vendors vs. Prims: PLEASE COMMENT!!!

Posted by Suztv on Thursday, July 24, 2008 , under | comments (7)

Today I did an inventory of my items. Shockingly enough, I have over 600 different items available. I am not counting freebies or seasonal giveaways because - well I only give those out at certain times and I don't really count them. Anyway, I wanted to ask you all if you prefer prims over vendors even if it means getting a more limited selection. There is no way I can pack 600 different items into my store in single prims and even if I go through and "archive" the older stuff or items that just aren't as popular - I would still have at least 300 prims to contend with. So my question to you is:

Would you prefer a vast selection in vendors over single prim signs?

If you prefer single prim signs would it bother you if less "Single" items were available but fatpacks were the norm?

The only reason I'm asking is that several people have stated that they prefer the single prim when they shop. Although others have stated that the vendors don't bother them - so I'm not sure which one people really prefer or would mind. I went out of my way to have a vendor created for me that displayed the price and when you click on it, it behaves more like a single prim in that the price is already in the payment amount HUD - the only downside being that the item is in a package instead of being delivered to you in a folder. Which seems to be the main point of contention. I wish that there was a way to deliver items like clothing without the boxed problem but it is something that SL just won't do.

The items that would have to be segregated into fatpacks are the Roman Halters, O-Ring Bikinis, Twisted Glitter Bikinis, Tranquil Escape bikinis, Leather Pants, Leather Jackets, Cross-tops, Angelina LST, Hayworth LSTs, Silk Pants, Suede Pants, Capris, Camis, Henley Tanks - well you get the point. I wouldn't put ALL of the items into one pack - more like category packs (Darks, lights, silks, animal prints etc). This would save on space and prim count but it would make those items less available to those just wanting ONE top or ONE bikini. Some designers have told me that I should archive my older items - but maybe I'm too emotional but I feel that some people would want those items available. This happened just recently with the Roman Halters - I took them down because no one was buying them but yesterday I got IM'd regarding them and did I still have them.

Please comment on this as I am interested in your view! The more comments the better!

Missing Inventory??

Posted by Suztv on Thursday, July 3, 2008 , under | comments (0)

I have been getting quite a few messages and notes about people not receiving inventory or not being able to find items that they purchased. If you bought something and then didn't receive it - please run a search on your inventory FIRST. You can do this by typing in the name of the item in your inventory window - if the item is there it will show up in the items found. If you can't remember the exact name - let me know and I'll send it to you.

If it still is missing - then send me a note. Do not IM me on such matters because IMs get capped and even though I have them sent to email - god knows SL might not deliver. In the note you HAVE to specify what you bought - just telling me that you bought a Roman Halter or pair of capris isn't enough - for example I have over 50 different halters and 35 different capris, so you can see that if you aren't specific I cannot help you. It also helps to copy the transaction information from your account into the note. Although, I will check on my end as well.

Also note that all copy/mod transaction are non-refundable - but that doesn't mean I am cold-hearted and won't try to help you if a transaction goes awry. Send a note and I'll try to work it out with you. I want you to be satisfied with your purchase and I will try to make it so that you are.

Transfer/Mod transactions can be refunded BUT take this with a grain of salt please, only with good reason (like you wanted the blue one not the pink); also I will not refund purchases that are older than 90 days for transfer/mod/no copy items.

I also try to be as accommodating as possible but I am only human and this is not my full-time job. So if I don't answer right away, don't take it personally and please don't think I am avoiding you. I take pride in answering people's questions and taking care of problems as soon as humanly possible so help me help you by doing your part and filling in all of the information on a notecard.

Hear ye! Hear ye! Princess Gown now at SecondWave

Posted by Suztv on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 , under | comments (0)

Once upon a time there was a lonely avatar princess who wanted a gown. A gown so marvelous and spectacular that she dreamed about it every day. "A Treasury of The World's Greatest Fairtales" was her inspiration and finally when a good cause came along, the princess decided to create the dress.

Sleeping Beauty was the story and because of the Relay for Life the dress has been created in two colors. Blue, which will be a normal purchase and Pink. The Pink proceeds will be spread far and wide across the land so that others can enjoy the benefits of this beautiful endeavor. Oh but wait! Not only the Pink and Blue but a special white will be available soon - but alas you poor souls, this dress coming up will be a one of a kind and ONLY available at an auction.
Right now you and the step sisters will have to satisfy your princess urges with the two available now. You must speed though - these two will be gone July 10th and will be banished to the depths of Sioxie Legend's inventory and only the Fairy Godmother will be able to retrieve them.

The 600L Dress includes:
1 flexi prim skirt
2 system skirts (gold and silver)
6 Bodice tops (gold and silver on 3 layers)
2 crowns (gold and silver)
1 pair of glitch pants (underpants layer)
